April 14 , 2011 - Hardtailin a '79 Superglide

Here we go ! I'am back with some cool images of Tyler's  '79  Superglide frame.
My pal Tyler at TECustoms.com in Finleyville ,Pa . Just sent me these images with his blessing and permission to post his work. Being we are frame junkies , we want to show other junkies how it can be done .
Tyler started with a '79 SuperGlide frame he wanted to hardtail. He ordered a set of my Cast Axleplates last November. I can see he isn't wasting any time. Looks real close to being finished and ready for some nice weather in his area. Not sure how many  frames he has hardtailed but it sure looks like he nailed it  on this one .  Most of you know this is how to keep your original hd numbers and change the look big time .
For guys wanting to do the same thing to there swingarm frames. We can furnish instructions , provided my the Master FabKevin , (If it ain't steel it ain't real ) Kev did an article several years back showing blow by blow instructions . I have his permission to use it as a guide .
It's great to meet all these  guys doing there own work. I don't care if I am the teacher or the student . I am going to have my hands dirty doing what i can . I started this small shop of mine to do what I love . Now I get to see other guys in there shop doing what they love with my parts and , I'll tell you , it's a great feeling knowing I have helped keep our thing going . Thanks Tyler for sharing your images.  Remember ," if your coasting , your going down hill " If your in the Pa. area , give Tyler a call if you need help. www.tecustoms.com
