This is the beginning of another # 9 frame .
These frames were first designed for the Ironhead Sporty Engine's . We have done these frames for different engines . So each is pretty close to the original design. Evo engine frame's are a lot wider .
It's got 2 " stretch in downtubes and has a 35 degree neck. Ride height should be 4 1/2 " off the ground. The rear has some stretch in it so the seat can be dropped to lower position in the frame. Will work on the backbone and rear wishbone (top rear section) today. That rounds out the skeleton . Then its just some front motormounts , top motormount and some welding. Should have it ready by middle of week. Yeah I work slow , I never slam one of these together and send it out the door. Nice things take time . Way to many hours in these frames . We do not use any of our frame castings on the #9 frames. We pretty much do what ever we want . I enjoy all the frames , some are just easier than others. More bends , the more complicated they are. Next post will have the finished frame . If anyone is interested , we do custom frames to customers spec's . or as close as possible .If you have a design in mind and are serious about building your own bike with your design frame , call me. Don't waste my time with a lot of talk. Serious inquiries are welcome. Get out your sketch pad and see what you can design . If your coastin , your goin down hill . jg
To Jason : when you get to the swap meet , if you run into a booth called FatBob's Used Harley Parts, tell him John send's his regards. He'll have some goodies for sale . He's my East Coast parts connection for old stuff. Have a good time and post some images of the cool shit ! jg

Hi Jers , glad to see a comment on the blog. A friend of mine was just in the Philippines for your big bike rally. He sent me pictures of real long choppers with Honda 4 cylinder motors. No matter where your from , people like cool bikes. Feel free to post a comment here any time you want. I will post more images of the # 9 frame as it progress's. It will be done this week. I can send one any where in the world. This particular frame is going to a guy in France. We will be introducing some new handle bar risers in a week or two . I'll post them on the site and blog when i have some ready to show. It you like tall, get ready . jg (no coastin allowed)
ReplyDeletei love to have a frame like sancho or #9 but here in the philippines there's no harley dealers it never exist, that's why i built bobbers with 125cc and 200cc honda clone engines because maintenance parts are everywhere but when i comes to custom parts u.s.of.a is always on top of the list.
