Viva La France !

The title of this post is Viva la France !
Never been there but I recently was contacted by one cool Frenchman. Fabian was looking for some bars for his new Blackline and found our site on the web. A few e mails back and forth and we had an order nailed down.
I tell you what , there is certain stuff that gets my attention and engineering is one that really grabs my ass.  Very few man made objects can compare with the beauty and style of The Eiffel Tower . It is known all over the world and is a testament to what one man can do . I have a table in my home with a collection of Eiffel Towers . Gifts from friends that travel to grabbing them on the bargain tables or where ever I find them . I got a running line going with my wife  , I tell her that old Eiffel couldn't have been married, cause if he was , he would never have finished his masterpiece .  Honey , can you come do this , honey , can you come do that .  How are we suppose to get anything done when we're trying to work ? . Girls , stay out of the shop !.
But now Fabian went way above and beyond for ol John . He does not live in Paris but he got in his ride , drove to Paris . Took his camera with him . Shot all these images for me . Then went to the Official Tourist Gift Shop. Bought me a cool ass Eiffel Tower T Shirt and Key Chain with an Eiffel Tower on it.
There is an image of the tower taken from his car. If you look close you will see a Statue of Liberty on the side of the river . Fabian tells me it faces towards  America . I had no idea they kept a smaller version of the one they gave us. How cool is that ? .
More images of the inside of the Official Gift Shop. Tell me , how many people go out of there way for you these days. Well Fabian sure did for me and I can not be happier to have met him. Thank You my friend .  We meet people from all over the world now that we have our web site. My life has been changed buy the contacts I have made here at home and around the world. The one thing we all have in common is our love for motorcycles.
Last image is my T shirt and Key chain. Man there is some cool people out there. Thanks Fabian and  Thanks again for checking out our parts . Best Regards , John

Blackline Duke's on Reed's Bike

I have posted about our Blackline bars on recent posts. Until now I didn't have good shots of them mounted with the cables and lines . Reed sent me these images he took of his 14 " set mounted and wired.
He used 8 " over clutch cable , and 5 " over stock length brake and throttle cables .
I like the look of the Dukes on a Blackline. I run Dukes on 2 of my bikes and like the look and comfort. Besides , every bike in the parking lot doesn't have a set yet . We are making these in 12 " 14 " and 16 " rise to the tallest point.
Reed has posted more images on the hd forum. Punch in Blackline and it should lead you to his post. If you have any questions or comments , go for it .

Blacklline Apes

Lot's going on around here lately . With our introduction  of Bars for the New Blackline , we are busy with the 2 styles we build.
The images posted today are some special order bars for Tyler's Blackline. He is over 6 ' tall and asked if i could tilt them forward 10 degrees .
Once these were installed on his bike , he sent a video of him sitting on it.  He was happy .We can build these style for your bike or leave them on there natural plane with out the forward bend. These are 16" tall. Most orders are in the 12"-14" range.

Bottom photo's are some risers we did for the Blackline. These will just clear the speed o . customer special ordered this height. We will have these on our site shortly. If your interested in just some risers , we will have them in black or chrome. Any height you want . Price's  still to be worked out .
all the images you see today are from customers wanting something they could not find any where else.  If you have an idea for a cool part and want someone to put it together for you , Call Me, John@hardailchoppers.com . We are not afraid of the tough jobs . Just a short post tonight. If you have questions or comments , click away .

Wishbone Frame Completed !

Finished up Dennis Y's frame yesterday. Need an axle and a tranny plate .  Then she's off to UPS for shipping.
This frame started a few weeks ago and had its share of start and stops.  Sometimes its like that . Got it done and Dennis wanted a gas and oil tank mounted. Got that done and then he said , can you make a seat ? . Got that made and mounted . Then it was time to make a mount for a softail  rear brake .
Seems like this project  took forever to put together . Kind of attached to it now . Will hate to see it leave.
These castings are the ones we produce . Made right here in the Pacific Northwest . The top images show's 2 frames . The one on the left is Dennis's frame . The one on the right is from H D 1948 . Been hacked and wacked to the point of only being good for measurements . The frame I just finished is a real close copy of an original . H D made some great frames and this one is my all time favorite . 1948 Wishbone Rigid Frames Rule .
Have more images of this build in my photos. Will try and add some images of it as it was being built . That was the original idea but this is the finished images  .  More images , next post .

These frames can be built using steel or stainless steel castings . Raked necks can be ordered to 50 degrees . Allow 4-6 weeks on special orders . We can furnish castings or complete frames for a custom fit . This bike will be getting an Accurate Engineering stroker pan motor . Kick only with a springer front end . Does it get any better than that ? . Wishbone Pan Springer is a hard combo to beat . The Knuck is cool , no doubt about it . I'll take one of those too if I can ever afford that motor . But it will still go in a Wishbone Frame .
Just wanted to say Thanks to Dennis Y . for calling us to build his frame . You have been easy to work with and I'll be happy to see you putting down the road on her .
To my followers , Thanks also for tuning in . I will try not to bore you with bull shit . Just cool shop projects and tips .
If Dennis will send some images to post of this frame once completed , I will post to my blog .
Any questions or comments , just click away .
